Karl Matull

Karl Matull (born August 15, 1898 in Hallwischken ; † May 1, 1959 ) was a German politician and member of the state parliament ( SPD ).

Life

After attending primary school , he attended business school in Düsseldorf . Matull was Council Chairman of the coal mine Diergard-Mevissen III and from 1947 Chairman of the General of the coal mine. He was district chairman of the DGB. From 1917 Matull was a member of the SPD and active in numerous party bodies. In Duisburg Karl-Matull Square was named after him.

From April 20, 1947 to July 4, 1954, Matull was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . He was elected directly in constituency 041 Moers-Ost.
