Karl's mother
Karl Mutter (born April 2, 1869 in Utzenfeld , † December 12, 1952 in Karlsruhe ) was a German landscape painter.
Life
After attending the arts and crafts school in Karlsruhe, mother studied at the art academy there , first with Friedrich Fehr and Ludwig Schmid-Reutte , and later with Hans Thoma . This had become financially possible through his series of 100 watercolors, the printing of which had found widespread use as postcards. For reasons of earning a living , mother became a drawing teacher at the grammar school in Durlach , where he also lived.
A picture by Karl Mutter is in the possession of the Kunsthalle Karlsruhe .
