Karl Noltze

Karl Noltze (* 4. April 1944 in Emmerich ) is a German politician , member of the CDU and 2000-2010 president of the Provincial Directorate of the Directorate District Chemnitz (designation to 31 July 2008: President of the Government of the district of Chemnitz ).

Life

Karl Noltze completed a law degree in Cologne . Then did a legal clerkship at the district court of Kleve . In 1974 he entered the civil service at the regional council in Düsseldorf . Until 1987 he was head of the department for public order and sovereignty.

Then he moved to the police headquarters in Duisburg . There he was Vice President for six years. Since 1978 he has been working as a working group leader for trainee lawyers and as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration as well as at the advanced training academy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia for the training of young people.

Karl Noltze has been in the service of the Free State of Saxony since 1993 . Until 1994 he was department head for home affairs and communal matters. He was then until May 22nd, 2000, as Vice President of the Leipzig Regional Council .

On June 5, 2000 he was appointed president of the Chemnitz administrative district. He is also President of the Initiative Südwestsachsen e. V., member of the board of trustees of the Industrieverein Sachsen 1828 e. V. and the Leipzig Legal Society e. V. and Chairman of the German-American Society Chemnitz in the Free State of Saxony e. V. After the government districts were converted into administrative districts, he was President of the Chemnitz Regional Directorate since August 1st, 2008 . On April 30, 2010 he was retired by the Saxon Interior Minister Markus Ulbig .

Karl Noltze is married and has two children.

On August 19, 2010 he was awarded the Saxon Order of Merit by Prime Minister Stanislaw Tillich .
