Appreciation

Schimmelpfennig headed one of the three (after 1945 the two) largest breeding associations for black and white cattle for 40 years. He looked at breeding and breeding goals against the background of economic requirements and business opportunities. The initiative to found the “Central Association of German Black and White Breeders” already came from him. V. ”as the forerunner of the“ Verband Deutscher Schwarzbuntzüchter e. V. “. He suggested the implementation of national animal shows of the "black and white". By consistently redeveloping the herdbook inventory regarding tuberculosis and brucellosis , he promoted sales and, above all, export of breeding animals of his organization. In many lectures and publications, he passed on his many years of experience to breeders and professional colleagues and was in demand as a neutral judge.
