Karl Schulz (born May 10, 1901 in Berlin ; † 1961 ) was a German football player .

Career

Schulz started playing football at SC Union Oberschöneweide at the age of 10 and was a member of the club until 1926. Already in the season 1918/19 he came in from the Brandenburg football championship with home and away discharged round robin tournament in a group with 18 teams used. At the end of the following season he won the Berlin championship with the team, as in 1923 . However, he lost the final of the Berlin Cup on June 20, 1926 in the stadium at Gesundbrunnen in front of 4,000 spectators with 3: 4 against BTuFC Viktoria 89 .

For the 1926/27 season he moved to city rivals BTuFC Viktoria 89, for whom he was active in Group B with ten teams in a round-robin tournament with a return game until the end of the 1931/32 season . On June 25, 1927, he and his team won the Berlin Cup after SV Norden-Nordwest was beaten 6-2 in front of 12,000 spectators in the stadium at Gesundbrunnen. On October 27, 1929, however, he lost the cup final at the same location with 1: 5 against Hertha BSC .

Selection / national team

In the Federal Cup contest in the national teams of the regional associations of the German Football Association (DFB) competed in the Cup mode against each other, he came on April 28, 1929 and March 9, 1930 for the national team of the Association Brandenburg ballgame teams each in the final used. He won the first with his team 4-1 against the team of the North German Football Association , which was lost 2-0 to them the following year.
