The Berlin Football Championship 1922/23 was the twelfth under the Brandenburg football championship discharged (VBB) Berlin Football Championship . The championship was held this season in two groups of ten teams each in a round-robin tournament with a return leg. The two group winners then played in the final of the Berlin soccer championship. In the end, SC Union Oberschöneweide won the final against Vorwärts 90 Berlin , became Berlin soccer champions for the second time and qualified for the German soccer championship in 1922/23 . After a 2-1 win after extra time against Arminia Bielefeld in the quarter-finals and a 2-1 win over SpVgg Fürth , the Berlin team reached the final. The game played on June 10, 1923 against Hamburger SV lost Union Oberschöneweide with 0: 3 and thus became runner-up.
