The Berlin Football Championship 1926/27 was the sixteenth under the Brandenburg football championship discharged (VBB) Berlin Football Championship . The championship was held this season in two groups with ten (group B) and eleven (group A) teams in a round-robin tournament with a round trip. The two group winners then played in the final of the Berlin soccer championship. In the end, Hertha BSC won the final against BSC Kickers 1900 and became Berlin soccer champions for the sixth time. With this victory, the club qualified for the German soccer championship 1926/27 . Like last year, Hertha reached the final of the German football championship this year after VfB Königsberg was beaten in the round of 16 , Holstein Kiel in the quarter-finals and last year's champions SpVgg Fürth in the semi-finals . However, the final was lost 2-0 to 1. FC Nürnberg . The BFC Kickers 1900 was qualified as a Berlin runner-up also for the German football championship. After a 5-4 win in extra time against Duisburger SpV , the Kickers reached the quarter-finals, which were clearly lost with 0: 9 against SpVgg Fürth .
