Karl Schwantag

Karl Schwantag (born March 23, 1912 in Sprottau , † December 2, 1991 in Wiesbaden ) was a German economist.

Life

He studied at the Königsberg Commercial College (1931–1932) at the Technical University of Munich (1932–1935) and the University of Frankfurt am Main (1932–1935), where he was assistant to Julius August Fritz Schmidt from 1935 to 1936 . After receiving his doctorate with Julius August Fritz Schmidt in Frankfurt am Main in 1939 and his habilitation there in 1943, he taught there from 1947 to 1949 as a private lecturer . From 1949 to 1960 he was Professor of Statistics at the University of Mainz and from 1960 to 1980 he was Professor of Business Administration in Mainz .
