Karl Schwering (administrative officer)

Karl Ferdinand Wilhelm Balduin Schwering (born June 29, 1879 in Hanover , † January 10, 1948 in Stade ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Karl Schwering was a son of the President of the Railway Directorate Ludwig Schwering in Saarbrücken and his wife Anna, née. Hornemann. He attended the Goethe Gymnasium in Hanover, from 1893 the Prinz-Heinrichs-Gymnasium in Berlin, where he passed the school leaving examination in 1898. He then studied law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen . In 1899 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Tübingen . After completing his studies and doctorate, he entered the Prussian civil service. From 1907 to 1908 he completed the government traineeship with the government in Düsseldorf . In 1910 he was an assessor in Halberschwerdt, Silesia. Schwering was district administrator from 1917 to 1932of Jork County . In 1932 he was appointed district administrator of the newly founded district of Stade . After having been a member of the DVP from 1919 to 1932 , he joined the NSDAP on December 29, 1933 and remained in the end until the end of the war. From May 7 to November 19, 1945 he was interned by the British occupation forces. His dismissal took place without an arbitration board proceeding against him.

Schwering had been married to Hertha von Kleist, a daughter of the student councilor and Professor Hugo von Kleist from Hanover, since 1919.
