Karl Johann Friedrich Sigmund Freiherr von Speth-Schülzburg (born July 23, 1844 at Schülzburg Castle in Anhausen ; † July 8, 1905 in Dresden ) was the owner of the manorial knights' estates Granheim and Schülzburg.

Live and act

After attending grammar school in Ellwangen , Karl Speth von Schülzburg studied in Tübingen and Heidelberg . He was a member of the Corps Suevia Tübingen . After passing the higher judicial service examination, his professional career began in 1873 as a judicial assessor at the higher regional courts in Geislingen and Cannstatt . In 1879 he became a district judge in Cannstatt and in 1882 a district judge at the Schwäbisch Hall district court , in 1883 he resigned from the Württemberg judicial service as a district judge. From 1878 he was the royal chamberlain of Württemberg. From 1895 to 1900, Carl von Speth-Schülzburg was a member of the Württemberg state parliament as a representative of the knighthood of the Black Forest district .

In 1875 he married Marie Sophie Clara Freiin von Ow (1854–1939). With her he had two children, including Reinhard Freiherr von Speth-Schülzburg , who was also a member of the state parliament from 1912 to 1918.
