Karl Stupp

Karl Stupp (born January 16, 1841 in Cologne , † October 15, 1925 in Meerhof ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Karl Stupp was the son of the Lord Mayor of Cologne Hermann Joseph Stupp . He attended elementary school and grammar school in Cologne and in 1861/62 the agricultural academy in Göttingen-Weende . He managed his parents' estate until 1872 and then worked in the agricultural business of the first Rheinische Aktien-Zuckerfabrik Ameln, which he co-founded. From 1896 he was tenant of the manor at Kasparshof in Ameln and member of the board of the Rhenish farmers' association. He was also head of the village in Ameln from 1889 to 1896.

From 1899 to 1918 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Aachen 3 (Düren - Jülich) and from 1903 to 1912 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Koblenz 2 Neuwied and the German Center Party .

He had been a member of the Corps Brunsviga Göttingen since 1862 .
