Karl Theodor Toeschi

Karl Theodor Toeschi (born April 7, 1768 in Mannheim , † October 10, 1843 in Munich ) was an Italian-born violinist and composer .

Live and act

Karl Theodor Toeschi (also Carlo Teodoro Toeschi, Charles Toesca) came from an old Italian family of musicians (Toesca de Castellamonte). His father was the Mannheim concertmaster Giovanni Battista Toeschi (1735–1800). The title of nobility for him and his father was recognized on September 23, 1798. On January 7, 1800, he married Hyazintha von Riß auf Risenfeld (1780-1824). In 1802 Carl Theodor Toesca v. Castella Monte mentioned as a violinist at the Munich court.
