Karl Theodor Freiherr von Hallberg (born January 21, 1752 in Mannheim , † September 20, 1840 in Munich ) was a Bavarian lieutenant general .

Life

Karl Theodor von Hallberg was a son of the Electoral Palatinate officer Philipp Freiherr von Hallberg and his wife Marie Gertrud, born. Freiin Scherer von Hohenkreuzberg. After attending grammar school in 1769, he entered the Bavarian military service as a sub-lieutenant, advanced to first lieutenant in 1783, captain in 1785, major in 1788, lieutenant colonel in 1792 and in 1798 as colonel and commander of an artillery regiment . On October 6, 1804 he was major general and brigadier of the artillery, on March 19, 1815 lieutenant general in the artillery. By army order of November 29, 1838, he was retired "in recognition of his really 70 years of good service", leaving his remuneration and permission to wear his previous uniform.
