Karl Traub (* 9. April 1941 in Hausen am Bussen ) is a German politician of the CDU and was a member of the Parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 1996 to 2016.

In 1965, Karl Traub completed his training as an agricultural master and in 1966 became mayor of his home town Hausen am Bussen in the Alb-Donau district . Since 1979 he has also been honorary mayor of the Unterwachingen community . In April 2009 he had to give up this post as he reached the age limit of 68 years.

1971 Traub was in the council elected the Alb-Donau district, where he was from 1978 to 2014 Chairman of the CDU faction . Since 1996 Karl Traub was also directly elected member of the constituency 65 - Ehingen in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg. Traub was chairman of the committee for rural areas and agriculture .

On May 11, 2011, Karl Traub opened the constituent session of the 15th electoral term of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament as old-age president .
