Fosowskie (German Vossowska ; 1936–45 Vosswalde ) is a district of Colonnowska (Polish Kolonowskie ) in Poland . It is located 1.5 kilometers northwest of Colonnowska on the Malapane in the powiat Strzelecki in the Opole Voivodeship .

history

The founder of Colonnowska, Count Philipp Colonna, had another ironworks built on the right bank of the Erzweilerbach in 1790 by the Westphalian builder Arnold Heinrich Voss (1753–1838). A small housing estate for the workers, which was named after its builder, was also built around this facility.

A station on the railway line from Opole to Tarnowitz was built next to the hut in 1858 . Vossowska developed into a railway junction in Upper Silesia . In 1868 the route to Kreuzburg was built and in 1894 another to Lublinitz . In 1912 a rail connection to Groß Strehlitz was started from Vossowska , followed by a branch line to the neighboring Guttentag in 1913 .

Like the one in Colonnowska, the iron and steel works in Vossowska had to be shut down after 1920. The main employer was the wood still built in 1888.

In 1911 there was the first electricity in Vossowska.

Administratively, the place belonged to the district of Groß Strehlitz . In 1936 he was given the name Vosswalde in the course of the renaming wave of Slavic place names in Silesia during National Socialism .

In 1945 the previously German place came under Polish administration and was attached to the Silesian Voivodeship and renamed Fosowskie on June 28, 1948 . In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship .

After Fosowskie was considered a town-like settlement since 1956, it was incorporated into Colonnowska in 1973, which was thereby given town rights .

There are several wood processing companies in Fosowskie today. The wooden still was torn down. The district represents the actual city center of Colonnowska.
