Karl Url

Karl Url (born April 6, 1934 in Diemlach , Kapfenberg , † March 3, 2014 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer . From 1975 to 1981 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .

After completing compulsory school, Url attended the federal college for agriculture in Seefeld and completed an agricultural practice on a farm in Hörsching . In 1959 he took over his parents' farm. Url began his political career in 1956 when he joined the ÖVP. In 1962 he took over the function of chairman of the farmers' union in Kapfenberg and was elected to the local council in Kapfenberg in 1965. In 1975 he also became a member of the state board of the Styrian farmers' union, and from November 4, 1975 he represented the ÖVP in the National Council. In addition, Url performed numerous functions in the agricultural environment. He was chairman of the machine ring in Lower Mürz Valley, Deputy Chairman of the dairy and warehouse cooperative "Landforst", District Chamber Council of the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture and District Hunting Master . On February 20, 1981, Url resigned from the National Council.
