Karl Wilhelm Witt (born January 20, 1851 in Klein-Nebrau ; † after 1918) was a landowner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Witt attended the grammar school in Graudenz from 1861 to 1868. He worked in agriculture and in 1880 took over his father's property in Klein-Nebrau. As a one-year volunteer , he served with Infantry Regiment No. 45, took part in the war against France in 1870/71 and earned the Iron Cross, 2nd class . He was then a reserve officer in Infantry Regiment No. 44 and first lieutenant a. D. He was also a member of the district council since 1885, dike representative of the Marienwerder lowland since 1883, member of the district synod and first chief director of the Swiss Mobiliarfeuerversicherungs-Gesellschaft für East- und West Prussia A.-G. .

From 1894 to 1908 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1898 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Marienwerder District 1 ( Marienwerder , Stuhm ) and the German Reich Party .
