Karl von Brüger
Karl Ernst Brüger , later von Brüger , also Carl Ernst von Brüger (born September 6, 1822 in Jena ; † March 29, 1905 there ) was a German lawyer .
Life
Born as the son of a lawyer and brother of Emil Theodor Brüger , Brüger initially studied Protestant theology and then law in Jena. During his studies in 1842 he became a member of the fraternity on the Fürstenkeller , in 1843 the fraternity on the bear and probably in 1844 the fraternity on the castle cellar . After a discharged on September 20, 1842 duel with Carl Friedrich von Droysen from Greifswald he was for two years by the University relegated . With Emil Welti , Hermann Hunnius and othersHe publicly demonstrated against the Danish king for progress students . He was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD and later Real Privy Councilor . He became president of the joint higher regional court of the Thuringian states in Jena.
