Emil Theodor Brüger (born November 4, 1827 in Jena , † September 20, 1900 in Weimar ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a lawyer and brother of Karl von Brüger , Brüger studied law in Jena after attending grammar school in Weimar . During his studies he became a member of the connection in the castle cellar in 1847/48 . After completing his studies, he worked as an auditor from 1852 and for a lawyer until 1855 . In 1855 he became mayor of Neustadt an der Orla . From 1858 to 1861 he was a member of the Weimar Parliament for the constituency of Neustadt an der Orla . In 1861 he became a lawyer in Geisa , 1865 judicial magistrate in Vieselbach and from 1869 in Apolda . From 1874 to 1879 he worked as a city ​​judge in Weimar and was again a member of the Weimar Parliament during this time. In 1878 he became a judicial advisor and in 1879 a secret judicial advisor . From 1880 to 1884 he was a councilor in Weimar, then until 1897 he was a lecturer in the Weimar State Ministry. In 1892 he was promoted to the Council of State and retired in 1897 as the Privy Council of State.
