Karl von Engel

Karl von Engel (born March 30, 1826 in Feldberg , † February 17, 1896 in Neustrelitz ) was a court and administrative clerk in the (partial) Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz .

Life

Karl von Engel was born as the son of the chamberlain and manorial estate owner Karl Heinrich von Engel and Ida. from Heyden-Linden . After attending high school in Neubrandenburg and the Royal Pedagogium in Halle (Saale) he studied at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Bonn , the Georg-August University Göttingen , the Friedrich-Wilhelms-University of Berlin and the University of Rostock legal and Camera science . In 1849 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After completing his studies, he entered the service of the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and became director of the Grand Ducal Chamber and Forestry College. He was the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz Chamberlain and House Marshal .
