Karlheinz Boujong

Karlheinz Boujong (born March 31, 1931 in Mülheim an der Mosel ; † August 13, 2004 ) was a German lawyer, presiding judge at the Federal Court of Justice and honorary professor at the University of Administrative Sciences Speyer.

Career

After graduating from high school, Boujong studied law at the University of Bonn at the modern language grammar school in Bernkastel-Kues. After completing his legal traineeship in the Neustadt an der Weinstrasse district of the higher regional court, he entered the higher judicial service of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate as an assessor on August 1, 1958. was appointed regional judge at the Trier regional court in 1962 , and in 1967 he was appointed senior judge at the Koblenz Higher Regional Court . Between 1971 and 1974 Boujong worked as a research assistant at the BGH, after which he was seconded to the public law department of the Ministry of Justice in Mainz for some time. With effect from January 13, 1976 he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. There Boujong initially worked for twelve years in the III. Civil Senate. At the same time, he also worked as an investigative judge at the BGH during this phase. From December 1, 1988 until his retirement on March 31, 1996, he was Alfred Kellermann's successor as Chairman of the Second Civil Senate , which was responsible for personal and corporate law as well as association and association law.

Boujong died in August 2004 after a serious, incurable illness.
