Grupo Éxito SA , also known as Almacenes Éxito SA , is a Latin American trading company. Based in Envigado , Colombia , it owns and operates a chain of retail stores selling food and non-food products. The company is represented in Colombia as Grupo Éxito; in Brazil as Grupo Pão de Açúcar ; in Uruguay as Grupo Disco and Grupo Devoto ; and in Argentina as Libertad . The Éxito Group is a subsidiary of the French Groupe Casino and the GPA group , which includes all South American brands .
Corporate structure
Almacenes Éxito operates a total of 1,576 food retail stores, including 537 units in Colombia, 904 in Brazil, 91 in Uruguay and 25 in Argentina (as of 2020). Almacenes Éxito also sells consumer credit, insurance, travel, money orders, electronics under the name Cnova and textiles. The company is also active in real estate management and direct trading with exito.com, carulla.com, digital catalogs and home deliveries. A forerunner of the company called Carulla already existed in 1905 and Almacenes Éxito was founded in Medellín in 1949 .
Their hypermarkets , supermarkets , specialist shops and department stores operate mainly under the brand names Éxito , Pão de Açúcar, Minuto Pão de Açúcar, Extra Hiper, Extra Super, Minimercado Extra, Assaí , Pontofrio and Casas Bahia , as well as the online sites with CasasBahia.com, Extra.com, Pontofrio.com, Baratiro.com, Partiuviagens.com and Cdiscount.com, as well as gpamalls.com.br.
