Karlheinz Keller

Karlheinz Keller (born May 24, 1921 in Tiefenhäusern , Waldshut district ; † May 24, 2012 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German lawyer . From 1975 to 1986 he was President of the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court .

Karlheinz Keller came from a civil servant family and grew up in Freiburg, where he also studied law after attending the humanistic grammar school. After completing this degree, he joined the Baden judicial service in 1952 . He was a judge at the District Court of Freiburg im Breisgau and the District Court of Freiburg and was promoted to judge at a Freiburg civil senate at the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court in early 1965. In April 1970, Keller became President of the Freiburg Regional Court. On March 1, 1975 he was appointed President of the Karlsruhe Higher Regional Court. As such, he retired in late May 1986.

As early as 1979, Keller was elected by the state parliament as deputy president of the state court of Baden-Württemberg , and later as its president. He held this position until 1988.
