Georg Sporleder

Georg Sporleder (born October 2, 1877 in Güstrow , † June 13, 1959 in Oberkassel (Düsseldorf) ) was a German lawyer and local politician.

Life

From 1896 Sporleder studied law at the University of Rostock . Like his older brother Werner Sporleder , he was active in the Corps Visigothia. In 1898 he also became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Jena . He passed the legal traineeship exam in Rostock in 1899. From the Georg-August University Göttingen , he was in 1900 for Dr. iur. PhD. He passed the assessor examination in 1905 at the Rostock Higher Regional Court . From September 1913 to September 1925 he was Lord Mayor of Herne . Expelled during the occupation of the Ruhr , he settled as a lawyer in Düsseldorf. In 1946 he became mayor of Oberkassel. When Oberkassel was incorporated into Düsseldorf, he worked as a lawyer again. He pioneered the preservation of tradition in the expelled East German corps by introducing tradition and sponsorship relationships in the KSCV . He was buried in the Heerdt cemetery .

Sporleder was married to Cläre geb. Moosbach. With her he had a son and three daughters. The pastor of the Confessing Church Ulrich Sporleder (1911–1944) is a nephew.
