Werner Sporleder (born June 24, 1876 on manor Steinbeck near Bellin (Krakow am See) , Mecklenburg ; † August 17, 1943 in Rüdersdorf near Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Sporleder attended the large city school in Rostock . After graduating from high school in 1894, he studied law at the University of Rostock . In 1895 he became active in the Corps Visigothia. As Chargierter he belonged in the same year the delegation of the Convents Association Senior Kösener that Otto von Bismarck 's 80th birthday in Friedrichsruh paid homage. After 1900 passed the state examination and 1905, the Assessor exam, he was on 28 November 1906 in Rostock Dr. iur. PhD. Since 1904 court assessor in Altona , he changed to Prussia's internal administration. As a magistrate's assistant he came to Mariendorf and Spandau , which at that time did not yet belong to Berlin. From 1906 he was mayor of Havelberg and Aschersleben . In 1908 he returned to Berlin as mayor of the community and later became councilor for taxation in Adlershof (1916-1924) and in the Treptow district (1933). After 1933 he had to resign and from 1934 to 1940 he worked as a lawyer at the Court of Appeal .

As a member of the Association of Old Corps Students Berlin and board member of the Watersports Association of Old Corps Students (WVaC), he was the spiritus rector of the integration of the then free Corps Frankonia Prague into the KSCV. Because of several procedural problems at the Kösener Congress, the Corps could not be accepted into the Prague Seniors' Convention in September 1922 . That is why it was re-donated by Sporleder and other Berlin Corps students. Sporleder was the reconstitution corp philistine of Frankonia from 1922 and chairman of its old gentlemen's convention until 1939.

Sporleder was married to Mina Carola geb. Sparrow. The marriage produced five sons: Werner Ragnar, Kurt Egon, Horst Axel, Rolf Harald and Gerd Arnim (killed in World War II). The former Lord Mayor of Herne Georg Sporleder is one of his two younger brothers and the pastor of the Confessing Church and resistance fighter Ulrich Sporleder is his nephew.
