Karlheinz Lange

Karlheinz Lange (born October 1, 1922 in Dresden , † 1999 ) was a German journalist.

Career

Long attended the Wettiner-Gymnasium in Dresden. He studied history and literary history in Leipzig and Munich and received his doctorate in 1946. The following year he started working as a news editor at Radio Munich . Between 1947 and 1949 he was a local editor in Straubing, after which he was a freelance journalist for several years.

In 1953 he came to the Bavarian State Ministry of Labor as a press officer . In 1957 he moved to the Bayerische Staatszeitung as editor-in-chief . He stayed in this position until 1987.

He was the deputy chairman of the Bavarian Association of Journalists and a member of the ZDF television council .
