Karoline Erdal (born November 15, 1997 in Førde ) is a Norwegian biathlete .
Career
Karoline Erdal at the JWM 2016
Karoline Erdal contested her first international race at the Biathlon Youth World Championships in January 2016 in Cheile Grădiştei, Romania , where she won the gold medal in the sprint and the bronze medal with the Norwegian relay. First in November 2016, she made her debut at the IBU Cup , after a race they started already at the World Cup opener for season 2016/17 in Swedish Östersund . With 83rd place in the individual race and 99th in the sprint, she clearly missed both the points and the qualification for the pursuit race. At the 2017 European Biathlon Championships in Duszniki-Zdrój , she won silver in the mixed relay race together with Marion Rønning Huber , Erlend Bjøntegaard and Fredrik Gjesbakk . Due to her age, she was allowed to take part in the 2017 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Brezno-Osrblie in the same year and won the relay race together with Hilde Eide and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold .
