Karoline Kunert

Karoline Kunert (born October 11, 1873 in Alt Jauernick , Schweidnitz district ; † November 3, 1948 in Zeitz ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Kunert attended elementary school, then worked as a maid and later worked as a domestic servant in Breslau . From 1917 to 1923 she was chairwoman of the local branch of the Central Association of Domestic Workers in Breslau and from 1919 to 1927 a member of the board of the AOK Breslau. In addition, she participated in the founding of the Wroclaw Workers' Welfare Association and had been a member of its board of directors since 1922.

Kunert was a functionary of the SPD from 1916 and from 1921 to 1925 citizens' deputy of the city of Wroclaw. On November 14, 1925, she moved up as a member of the Prussian state parliament, to which she was a member until 1933.
