Stary Jaworów (German Alt Jauernick ) is a village in the Gmina Jaworzyna Śląska (German royal tent ) in the Powiat Świdnicki in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .
history
Jauernick was first mentioned in 1250 as Javorovo . The place name is of Slavic origin. In the middle of the 13th century, German settlers began to develop the country, including the already existing Jauernick.
Since 1565 the landlord of Jauernick Herdwig von Seidlitz was on Kratzkau. In 1575 it fell to his widow Hedwig von Seidlitz nee. Schweintzen auf Kratzkau, which Jauernick sold in 1588 to the governor of Lower Lusatia, Karl von Kittlitz. In 1604 it was given to his son of the same name. He was the royal administrator of the Principality of Sagan. In 1614 Jauernick was owned by his widow Margaretha Rebecca von Kittlitz, b. Baroness of Promnitz.
With the arrival of the Reformation , the church of Jauernick was evangelical and returned to the Catholics in 1654 after the Thirty Years' War . However, it was completely destroyed. A new church was not built until 1706/08, which became a branch of Arnsdorf. The Protestant residents adhered to the Friedenskirche Schweidnitz . The Catholic Church was used for burials. In 1892, Alt Jauernick, Neu Jauernick, Arnsdorf and Wickendorf were combined to form the new parish Wickendorf.
After the First Silesian War , Jauernick fell to Prussia in 1741/42 and became part of the Schweidnitz district . During the Second Silesian War , Friedrich II took his headquarters near Jauernick on June 1, 1745. In 1785 Jauernick had 1 farm, 6 cottagers, 1 water mill, 15 farmers, 16 job owners and 258 residents. The community of Neu Jauernick was founded around 1800 , as a result of which the old village was called Alt Jauernick . Alt Jauernick formed its own district. In 1845 Alt Jauernick had 448 inhabitants and in 1885 660 inhabitants. In 1895 there were 534 inhabitants in the rural community and 56 in the manor district.
When it was taken over by Soviet troops and the Polish administration in 1945, Alt Jauernick was renamed Stary Jaworów . The German residents were expelled and replaced by Poles .
