Karoline Maria Immakulata Josepha Ferdinanda Therese Leopoldine Antoinette Franziska Isabella Luise Januaria Christine Benedikta Laurencia Justiniana (born September 5, 1869 in Altmünster ; † May 12, 1945 in Budapest ) was born Archduchess of Austria, Princess of Tuscany and, by marriage, Princess of Saxony- Coburg and Gotha .

Life

Karoline was a daughter of Archduke Karl Salvator of Austria-Tuscany and his wife Maria Immaculata , Princess of Bourbon and Naples-Sicily .

From 1893 to 1894 she was abbess of the Theresian women's monastery in Prague.

On May 30, 1894, she married Prince August Leopold of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha , a son of Prince Ludwig August of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and the Brazilian Infanta Leopoldina de Bragança in Vienna .

Princess Karoline died in Budapest at the age of 75.
