Karsten Spitzer

Karsten Spitzer (born February 12, 1961 in Hanover ) is a German actor . He lives with his family in Weil der Stadt .

Life

Karsten Spitzer gained his first theater experience in 1987 as an assistant director at the Lüneburg City Theater. After graduating from high school, he studied German, history and theater studies in Berlin. From 1991 to 1993 he trained as an actor and joined the Affekt theater group, directed by Stefan Bachmann . Spitzer played there alongside Gesine Cukrowski and Jenny Schily .

From 1992 to 1995 he worked as a freelance actor in Berlin, a. a. with the independent theater groups Neukölln and Vineta. From 1996 to 1998 he took a break from the theater and began training at IBM as a sales manager.

1998-2000 he did cabaret work (inter alia for IBM), since 2000 he took up acting again. Independent theater groups: Schaubühne Sindelfingen, Scene 03, Group Three with performances in Sindelfingen, Stuttgart, Hanover, Karlsruhe, Bad Mergentheim, Berlin, Altensteig, Weil der Stadt. Since 2008 he has also been the artistic director of the Schaubühne Sindelfingen.

Karsten Spitzer played and plays a. a. in the KKT Stuttgart, Wilhelma Theater Stuttgart, Theater am Olgaeck Stuttgart, Theater "Broken Window" Berlin, Theaterkeller Sindelfingen, Berlin, Neukölln Opera.

He can also be seen regularly on German television in various roles on ARD, SAT-1 and RTL, so far alongside Walter Sittler , Saskia Vester and Walter Schultheiss , among others .
