When, after the death of Ratiborer Duke Lestko the pledged him Cosel at Casimir's father fell back, it transferred this his eldest son Casimir. Little news has been received about the exercise of his rule as Duke von Cosel . It is known that he refused to pay St. Peter's penny and was therefore excommunicated .
