The Kaskawulsh River is the right headwaters of the Alsek River in Canada's Yukon Territory .
The Kaskawulsh River is a 50 km long glacial river that is fed by the Kaskawulsh Glacier at an altitude of about 1000 m and flows off to the east. Since May 2016, the glacier runoff, lying on a watershed, was no longer divided between the Kaskawulsh and the Slims River , but concentrated on the Kaskawulsh. It takes on the tributaries Disappointment River , Jarvis River and Dusty River on its way east-southeast . It meets about 20 km southwest of Haines Junction at 545 m altitude on the Dezadeash River , with which it forms the Alsek River .
