Kassoum "Zico" Ouédraogo (born April 12, 1966 in Burkina Faso ) is a former Burkinabe soccer player. He is the president of the sports club Étoile Filante Ouagadougou .
Career
Ouédraogo began his football career in his home country with Étoile Filante Ouagadougou. Later he became a professional in Tunisia to Espérance Tunis . From there he came to Germany in 1991 through the Belgian Eendracht Aalst association . First he played for two years for SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2nd Bundesliga . There he scored three goals in 24 games. He then worked for Hessen Kassel . There he became the crowd's favorite and scored 20 goals in 50 games in the Oberliga and Regionalliga. For the 1995/96 season he moved to FSV Frankfurt . Although he scored ten goals, the team ended the season in the Regionalliga Süd knocked down on the bottom of the table. For the following season he moved to VfL Osnabrück . In the first two games of the season of the Regionalliga Nord he scored five goals, but lost his regular place in the course of the season and was later only used in the 2nd team.
At the 1998 African Cup of Nations in his home country, he surprisingly came fourth with the national team . Ouédraogo scored two tournament goals. After his contract with VfL Osnabrück expired in the summer of 1998, he tried in vain to get another engagement in Germany. He played another year for Al-Wasl in the United Arab Emirates before returning to his homeland.
There he works as a businessman and players agent.
The Kassoum Ouédraogo Zico Académie de Football , or KOZAF for short , plays in the Burkinabe Première Division .
