Kassum Leigh

Alhaji Kassum Leigh (* 1948 ; † January 4, 2014 in Banjul ) was Seyfo (also the English term chief is common) for the Gambian district of Sami .

Live and act

Leigh was named Seyfo on April 22, 2008, succeeding Morro Jawla's release . Politically, he was close to the ruling party of the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).

He died at the age of 65 in January 2014 after a brief illness in the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul. He was buried in his hometown Sami Pachonki .
