The Kastraki reservoir (Greek Λίμνη Καστρακίου, Limni Kastrakiou ) is an artificial lake in Greece . It is located east of Kastraki and Bampalio in the northeastern part of the Aetolia-Acarnania prefecture . It is the last dam on the Acheloos below the Kremasta dam . The water area is around 28 km² and the storage space contains around 1,000,000,000 cubic meters of water. The barrier structure is 95 m high, 530 m long and 380 m wide at the base. The integrated hydropower plant has an output of 320 MW and is operated by DEI . 640 GWh / year are generated. By 2010 the storage space should be enlarged and the electricity production increased by 41 GWh / year.
