Katharina Raue (* 1963 ) is a German politician from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . From 2011 to 2016 she was a member of the 16th Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament .

education and profession

Raue grew up in Hanover. After training as a bank clerk, she studied law in Göttingen and Bonn . She works as an independent lawyer and specializes in commercial law. Raue is married and has lived in Rhineland-Palatinate with her husband and three children since 1994. She initiated a civil society to operate a solar system on the roof of the Urbar elementary school (near Koblenz) and was also the managing director of the GbR until 2012 .

politics

After non-party political activity at the local level, she joined the Greens in 2004. Today Raue is chairman of the parliamentary group in the council of the Verbandsgemeinde Vallendar , she left the Verbandsgemeinderat in January 2017 .; In the Mayen-Koblenz district council she was a member of the youth welfare committee and the district legal committee.

Raue was set up as a direct candidate for the constituency of Bendorf / Weißenthurm . For her party she was number 9 on the state list of the Greens in the state elections in Rhineland-Palatinate 2011 and sees herself responsible for the issues of justice, the protection of the constitution and the police.

On March 27, 2011, she was elected to the 16th state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate with 17 other Greens , to which she was a member until 2016.
