Katharina Treutler (* 1985 in Erfurt ) is a German pianist .

biography

Katharina Treutler was born in Erfurt. There she attended the Evangelical Ratsgymnasium and then studied at music colleges in Hanover , Tokyo , Paris , Madrid and Freiburg . Her teachers include Bernd Goetzke , Jacques Rouvier , Dmitri Bashkirov and Éric Le Sage .

She has won several international competitions. Katharina Treutler gives concerts in Europe, Asia and the USA, as a soloist or with orchestras such as the London Symphony Orchestra , the San Francisco Symphony , the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra . Concerts have taken her to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam , the Tōkyō Bunka Kaikan and the Davies Symphony Hall San Francisco, among others .

Since 2016 she has been teaching at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .
