The Catholic parish church of Traun , also called the parish church of Traun, is located in the St. Dionysen district in the municipality of Traun in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Dionysius belongs to the deanery of Traun in the diocese of Linz . The church is a listed building .

history

The church was built from 1882 to 1890 according to the plans of the architect Raimund Jeblinger .

architecture

The neo - Gothic three - nave church building has a west tower with a pointed helmet .

Furnishing

Three wooden statues of saints around 1500 stand on the upper walls of the central nave.

The neo-Gothic furnishings were based on designs by Raimund Jeblinger. Most of the carvings were made by the sculptor Josef Kepplinger .

The organ with 1134 pipes - the smallest 8 mm and the largest 5.25 m - has two manuals and 18 registers and is the work of the master organ builder Leopold Breinbauer from Ottensheim. The case was created by Josef Kepplinger. The organ was probably already played at the church consecration in 1890. The organ was extensively renovated in 1989 and is a listed building.
