Katja Dürkop (born October 4, 1968 ) is a former German handball player .

Dürkop, who came from Stockelsdorf , was 1.60 meters tall and was one of the smallest Bundesliga handball players during her active time. The right winger moved from VfL Bad Schwartau to Buxtehuder SV in 1987 , with whom she was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1989. Between 1989 and 1998 she scored 639 times in the opposing goal in 211 Bundesliga games, converting three seven meters. She later returned to VfL Bad Schwartau. In 2002 she joined the SC Buntekuh Lübeck in the 2nd handball league. With Buntekuh Dürkop rose to the Bundesliga in 2003. In 2005 she moved from Eidelstedter SV , with whom she had previously been promoted to the second Bundesliga after winning the regional league championship, to the Neumünster / Plön district league in Bad Bramstedt to Bramstedter TS . A year later she joined the district division SG Wift.
