Katja Galstjan ( Armenian Կատյա Գալստյան , English Katya Galstyan ; born January 1, 1993 in Ashotsk , Armenia ) is an Armenian cross-country skier .

Career

Galstjan finished 90th in the sprint and 89th place over 10 km freestyle at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she reached 64th place over 10 km classic. In February 2015 she achieved 71st place in sprint and 70th place over 10 km freestyle at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun . In her third participation in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in February 2017 , she came 80th in the sprint and 71st place over 10 km classic. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she ran 72nd place in the 10 km freestyle. The following year she achieved 67th place over 10 km classic and 56th place in skiathlon at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld in Tyrol . She made her debut in the World Cup in November 2019 in Ruka , which she finished in 92nd place in the sprint.

In the Armenian championships Galstjan won in 2013 and 2014 over 10 km, 2018 and 2020 in sprint, 2012 over 5 km classic and 2018 to 2020 over 5 km freestyle and 5 km classic.
