Katrin Eigendorf

Katrin own village (* 1. July 1962 in Tönisvorst as Katrin Schut ) is a German television journalist .

Life

Eigendorf studied journalism in Dortmund and Paris at the Institut Français de Presse. She then completed an editorial traineeship at WDR in Cologne . She has been a foreign correspondent since the 1990s. a. She worked as an editor in the ARD studio in Paris and on the daily topics . As an RTL correspondent in Moscow , she also reported on the former Soviet Union and the Chechen war from 1993 to 1996 . From 1999 she worked for the ZDF in Mainz as a foreign policy reporter with a focus on Russia, the Caucasus and Middle East politics. Eigendorf reported for ZDF and for ARTE u. a. also from Georgia, Israel, Egypt, Turkey and Afghanistan. From 2001 she moderated the international journal extra . From January 2015 to May 2017 she was a correspondent at the ZDF foreign studio in Moscow and reported, among other things, on the war in Ukraine. Eigendorf has been an international reporter at ZDF since 2018.

Katrin Eigendorf is married to Jörg Eigendorf . Their daughter Alexandra became known as a pop singer under the name Aly Ryan .
