Aly Ryan

Aly Ryan (born September 25, 1995 , actually Alexandra Eigendorf) is a German pop singer .

Life

Eigendorf is the daughter of the journalist couple Jörg and Katrin Eigendorf . She spent the first years of her life in Moscow and grew up in Oberursel im Taunus from 1999 . At the age of 16, she went to Los Angeles as a visiting student, where she graduated from high school in 2014. She learned to play guitar and piano as a child and at the age of four in the children's choir of the Oberursel International School.

Her brother died at the age of 17 as a result of a severe disability.

Career

Eigendorf gained her first musical experience at the age of eleven in the "Academy of Stage Arts" in Oberursel, where she completed a part-time training program for young people. In 2010 she took part in the Kika show "Best Voice", where she came in fifth. A year later she took first place in the field of classical singing in the state competition Jugend Musiziert in Hesse and third place in the national competition Jugend Musiziert.

In collaboration with British musicians, she adopted the stage name "Charly Cole", under which she started with country music and released her first album "Gotcha".

In 2015 she came into contact with well-known songwriters such as Nick Turpin in Los Angeles and adopted the stage name "Aly Ryan". Ryan worked with Timbaland and Baby Face and finally released the pop album "The Misfits" in the US in 2017. Her song "No Parachute" became the second biggest pop song on the Soundcloud platform and reached the top of the charts in several countries.

In 2018, the release of "Facetime" follows with the rapper YNW Melly.

On November 8, 2018, it was announced that she would take part in Unser Lied für Israel , the German preliminary decision for the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest . On February 22, 2019, she performed her song "Wear Your Love" on the show. She reached fourth place overall. With part of the jury, the Eurovision panel, it was even the first.

On April 17, 2020, the single Greedy was released from their studio album Heroine , which was released on May 29, 2020.
