Deb Haaland

Deb Haaland (born December 2, 1960 in Laguna Pueblo , Arizona ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party .

Life

Haaland's mother is a member of the Laguna Indians and her father is of Norwegian descent. She studied at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque . On November 6, 2018, she became a member of the United States House of Representatives . Haaland and Sharice Davids were the first two female Indigenous MPs to be elected to the United States House of Representatives.
