The Kavaliershaus (actually Kavaliersbau ) of the Kranichstein hunting lodge at Kranichsteiner Straße 261 is a building in Darmstadt-Kranichstein .
History and description
The Kavaliershaus was built in the early 18th century to the west of the northwest corner of the Kranichstein hunting lodge. Stylistically, the building belongs to the baroque . The single-storey house has a beaver-tail-covered mansard roof . The facade is structured by five window axes . The plastered facade has lattice windows typical of the construction period .
After the Second World War, the Kavaliershaus was used as a restaurant. The building was renovated between 1989 and 1992. Today the building is used as a café and restaurant .
