Architect George Dahl designed the structure and layout of the Dallas Memorial Auditorium buildings in the mid-1950s. It was completed and opened in 1957. The main building of the building complex has an audience capacity of more than 10,000 visitors. The center was renamed again in the 1970s. The expanded area of the center was known as the Dallas Convention Center . In 1984 and 1994 the center was expanded again. The campus has been complete since 2002.
