Kazuto Nakazawa
Kazuto Nakazawa ( Japanese 中 澤 一 登 , Nakazawa Kazuto ; born March 4, 1968 ) is a Japanese animator , director and character designer . His best-known works include an animated chapter from the film Kill Bill - Volume 1 and the anime Parasite Dolls and Samurai Champloo .
Life
Kazuto Nakazawa already drew a lot in school and was interested in anime and manga as well as Hollywood films. Although he initially had no great ambitions, he went to training at the Tōkyō Animation Gakuin due to a lack of other career aspirations and then began his professional career at Studio Magic Bus . In the 1990s he worked first as a key and then animation director on various anime productions for cinema and video, including Rōjin Z , Arslan Senki , and the film implementation of Fatal Fury , Garō Densetsu - The Motion Picture . The first involvement as a character designer was for the first original video animation in the El Hazard series . Further commissions followed in this area, including for the television series Final Fantasy Unlimited 2001 and Samurai Champloo 2004. Nakazawa also designed the characters for the computer game Tales of Legendia from 2005. Nakazawa also worked as a director from 2001, for the first time for an animated scene in Kill Bill - Volume 1 and later, among other things, for the music video for the song Breaking the Habit by Linkin Park and the contribution Moondrive to the anthology Genius Party Beyond .
Kazuto Nakazawa also produces advertising films, for example in 2014 for Manchester United and Nissin Foods, and an earlier advertisement for Kirin Beer , which won an award at the Holland Animated Film Festival. For the three-piece Night Watch - Light-Novel series (2000-2002) by Kohei Kadono and the three light novel to Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2004-2005) of Jun'ichi Fujisaki he drew the illustrations.
