Ke Kelit ( spelling KE KELIT ) is an Austrian family company founded in Linz in 1945 . It produces plastic and metal pipe systems as well as air conditioning systems . The Linz-based company employs around 600 people in 25 branches in Austria and Bavaria as well as internationally in Singapore , Cambodia , Myanmar , Macau , New Zealand , Malaysia , Romania , Slovakia , Hungary and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

Ke Kelit was founded in 1945 by Karl Egger as an installation company for gas-water heating. In 1960 the production of plastic drainpipes started . After 1966 the production of district heating pipes was added. The KE KELIT GmbH was founded in 1973rd In 1989 Ke Kelit was the first company in Europe to bring CFC- free pipe systems for district heating onto the market.

Products

The company owns 150 patents and utility models in the field of connection technology such as the tool-free plug connection of pipe systems and induction welding for district heating pipes.

Areas of application for the products are drinking water , heating , district heating , industry and cooling with pipe systems or prefabricated components made of plastic , multilayer composites, stainless steel , copper and other materials. The focus is on flow-optimized plug and press systems with a plug & play concept such as B. the push-fit fitting system Kelox PROtec.

The company has been certified to ISO 9001 ( quality management system ) since 1994 , ISO 14001 ( environmental management system ) since 2013 and ISO 50001 ( energy management system ) since 2016 . In addition to the production of pipe systems, Ke Kelit works with Coolfix GmbH in the assembly of cooling systems .
