Umezaki graduated from Meiji University . He began his active career by winning the silver medal in team jumping at the 1998 Junior World Championship in St. Moritz . From 2002 he started in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . On January 24, 2004 he made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup and reached the 44th and 50th place in jumping in Sapporo . After good performances - including a 13th place in Hakuba - he finished the Summer Grand Prix 2007 in 60th place overall. From 2009 Umezaki only jumped in FIS competitions , but no longer in the international series. At the Japanese Championship 2009 in Hakuba he won silver on the normal hill. It was not until the Continental Cup competitions on January 8th and 9th, 2011 in Sapporo that he was back after a two-year international break and finished in 21st and 46th place.
In February 2012 he competed in his last international competitions with two FIS competitions in Sapporo.
