from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The winery Eberbach was next to the wineries Hilsbach , Lohrbach and Neckarelz one of the lower offices in Oberamt Mosbach , an administrative district of the County Palatine of Mosbach and from 1499 to 1803 the Palatinate .

The office of Eberbach, attested since 1357, was subordinated to the Oberamt Mosbach around 1450 and Eberbach only had the task of the winery. The cellar was located in Thalheim's house and was usually used by the Mosbacher Oberamtmann . The cellar, also known as the bailiff , was also the mayor of the city.

The task of the cellar was to collect taxes in the places under it. The Eberbach winery was subordinate to: Igelsbach , Lindach , Neckarwimmersbach , Oberdielbach , Pleutersbach , Rockenau and Waldkatzenbach .

After the electoral Palatinate was dissolved (1803) by the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss and three years of membership (1803-1806) in the Principality of Leiningen , the Upper Office Mosbach and with it the Eberbach winery came to Baden .

In Eberbach, a new Baden office was established in 1806, which later became the Eberbach District Office , which existed until 1924.
